To all of those I met at the handful of conferences I attended before Covid-19 sent everything to digital, and all of those I met over email or Zoom since, it was a pleasure to meet you. I’m still not 100% sure what I’ll be doing next, but I suspect it will still be in the gambling industry. This has been my life for more than a decade, and it’s an industry I continue to love and appreciate. Last season, in the corresponding fixture, Chelsea twice had goals correctly ruled out for a foul and then offside as Frank Lampard’s team were unable to prevent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United team doing the league double over them.

This season, the two teams have only met once in competition, with a drab 0-0 draw at an empty Old Trafford all that has taken place to date between the two great rivals of the Premier League era.

With it being Thomas Tuchel’s first taste of the bizarrely feisty fixture – before the turn of the Millennium, there was little to suggest this would develop into any kind of fierce rivalry – this is sure to be a decent game.

One of the founding members of the ARGN is GamblePause Initiative Africa, founded by Ladipo Abiose Akolade.

Akolade said the ARGN was established to address the fragmented nature of responsible gambling efforts across Africa and create a platform for greater collaboration between organisations working in the space.

“ARGN was created because problem gambling is becoming a bigger issue across Africa and most responsible gambling efforts still happen within individual countries,” Akolade tells iGB. “While many organisations are doing great work, there has been limited opportunity to learn from each other, share research, or work together on common challenges.
